Red Rooster


Located in the heart of Harlem, Red Rooster Harlem serves food which celebrates the roots of American cuisine. The story of Harlem is transmitted with the customers. Many local artists, musicians and culinary talents performe in this restaurant.


Marcus Samuelsson


Marcus Samuelsson is an Ethiopian Swedish chef and restaurateur. He is the head chef of Red Rooster in Harlem, New York.


The restaurant Red Rooster opened in December 2010 in Harlem. In March 2011, Red Rooster hosted a fundraising dinner for the Democratic National Committee. President Obama attended the dinner.


In spring 2015, Samuelsson opened his second Harlem restaurant, Streetbird Rotisserie, a kitchenette with a menu inspired by cookouts focusing on fried and rotisserie chicken. His restaurant has a décor paying tribute to the hip-hop culture of Harlem.
